 AGREEMENT

This is an agreement between Camp Europe (CAMP EUROPE) registered under the law of Canada and

APPLICANTS NAME______________________________, (APPLICANT)

In relation to the application process to obtain a summer camp placement at any of CAMP EUROPE´s partner summer camps. This contract is to be governed by the laws of Canada. Any dispute must come to Canadian courts.

 

UNDERSTANDINGS

  • APPLICANT _ Person interested in becoming a PARTICIPANT

  • PARTICIPANT_ Person who will be performing the SERVICE.

  • CAMP EUROPE_ As provider of the recruitment services, through promotion, interviews, document gathering, partner summer camp contact and all administration of the APPLICANT’s file, until an agreement is signed between the HOST camp and the APPLICANT.

  • HOST_ Refers to all Partner Summer Camps that offer placements through CAMP EUROPE´s services.

  • CAMP EUROPE responsibilities are limited to the promotional, interviewing and application process only, and it is not linked in any way with the actual service to be contracted between the APPLICANT and HOST under their own rules, terms & conditions; under the law of the corresponding country of placement.

This is an Agreement with CAMP EUROPE, and not a contract.

  • APPLICANT agrees to:

  • The disclosure of information based on CAMP EUROPE´s software providers (Hanover) Privacy Policies.

  • Upon accepting the placement offer, a contract will be arranged between the APPLICANT and HOST, where CAMP EUROPE will automatically be excluded of all liability.

APPLICANT

  • Must commit all financial responsibilities in order to become Participant.

  • Will file in, signed proof of acceptance of placement.

  • Participant will be required to enter the host country as a tourist and must individually and independently verify beforehand if any Visa or special permit might be required to enter the host country for the specific nationality of the Participant.

  • Agrees to complete all visa requirements, including attending a personal interview at the Selected Country Embassy or Consulate at own expense, in accordance with the instructions.

  • Agrees to be responsible for obtaining a valid passport at least three months prior to departure and to comply with all vaccination and immunization requirements.

  • Deposit. > Substantial expenses are incurred by CAMP EUROPE while an application is considered by Camp Directors. If APPLICANT withdraws from the application process after having received a placement offer, APPLICANT will forfeit the Deposit Payment. At CAMP EUROPE’s discretion, exceptions may be made in some cases of visa rejection, illness or medical incapacity as confirmed by a medical certificate.

  • All participants should be aware that Camp Europe (CAMP EUROPE) charges a fee in respect to the costs associated with organizing the program. This fee is to be paid by the Applicant and is charged in all circumstances without exception and applies equally to returning participants.

  • When a camp is found to match APPLICANT’S availability and interest, CAMP EUROPE will inform the APPLICANT via any online communication system immediately, and APPLICANT will then be required to pay in full the fee published on the web site and provide CAMP EUROPE with all the required documents.

  • Complete all payments and financials according to Camp Europe (CAMP EUROPE) procedures.

  • Applicants must also agree to the specific camp’s terms and conditions, in order to participate in the camping program.

  • Air / Ground transportation to the HOST camp on the appropriate day and time is sole responsibility of each participant. All air fare transportation costs will be paid fully by the PARTICIPANT.

  • Understands_ that applying does not guarantee a placement.

  • Commits to abide the application rules.

  • Warrants that ALL information provided in the application form, during the interview and throughout the full application process, is honest and accurate. Providing false or misleading information about any matter will lead to cancellation from the program.

  • Commits to perform camp counselor duties to the best of his/her ability.

  • Consent to participant´s personal information being held, processed and disclosed by CAMP EUROPE. PARTICIPANT understands that data will be stored electronically and transferred between offices employees, government departments and will have supply this information for the purpose of seeking a placement position on a Host Camp program.

    • For the purposes of this clause personal data includes but is not limited to all information supplied on application forms, telephone or person to person conversations, medical forms and criminal record check ups.

  • APPLICANT / PARTICIPANT waives and release CAMP EUROPE and its affiliates, agents and employees from any claims whatsoever arising from any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or expense resulting from events beyond control, including without limitation: Acts of God, acts of war, strikes, incidents of politically motivated violence, terrorism, sickness or quarantine, government restrictions or regulations, and, in the absence of gross negligence (or negligence in the case of personal injury) arising from the use of any vehicle or from any act or omission by any agent or employee or guests of the Host camp, individual, firm, or company or another facility or service organized on participants behalf.

  • Understands that CAMP EUROPE does not control nor in any way assume responsibility for the operation of the Host camps. The administration and management of each camp is solely responsibility of its proprietor(s) and/or director(s). As a consequence, CAMP EUROPE cannot and does not, accept liability for any decisions, actions or omissions of whatever nature made by or on behalf of the proprietors and/or directors, staff or members of the camps.

 

APPLICATION PROCESS

 

The applicant understands and agrees to the following steps and conditions in order to apply for a summer camp placement.

  1. Apply On Line
    Read ALL the information regarding CAMP EUROPE´s programs, including the Frequently Asked Questions section as well as the Terms & Conditions. Once you are sure this program suits your interests; access the Online Application Form

  2. Interview
    Once our selection committee has reviewed your application, you will be contacted by email to set up an interview.
    (the interview will be face-to-face, via telephone, or video conference depending on your location)

  3. Placement Offer
    Upon a successful interview & a second review of your profile, a placement offer package will be sent to you. You will have 21 days in order to confirm your participation, by sending us back the signed MOU and all required documents.

  4. Documents

  • Copy of your valid passport

  • Signed MOU

  • Copy of Plane / Bus / Train Ticket to confirm attendance to the start of your training.

  • Proof of Fee Payment

    • Important: Getting your profile accepted does not guarantee you will get a placement offer. Booking an CAMP EUROPE program by paying the deposit, does not enrolls you automatically into the program.

  • If a placement offer is not extended to the applicant, he / she will be informed as soon as possible and will be reimbursed the pre-interview deposit.

  • A completed application will be submitted to the Selection Committee, located in Ottawa, ON, for initial screening. Once an application has been checked and accepted by CAMP EUROPE, you will be advised via our online system that your application has been shown to Camp Directors. Once the camp director’s manifest acceptance of your participation at their camp, you will receive a placement offer.

  • At this stage you will be required to submit all required documents, as well to make the Deposit payment (see website for specific amounts, timelines & Payment methods).

  • If your payment is not received within 30 days after your acceptance of the participation offer, your application will be withdrawn from the program and the pre-interview deposit forfeited.

  • Late applications will only be accepted for specific reasons and never later than May 30th.

WAIVER

 

  • Application Process

  • Grounds for dismissal:

  • It is the duty of every PARTICIPANT to comply with the requirements of the medical policy and behavior management standards as informed by Host Camp staff. Failure to comply with these guidelines will be reason to expel the misbehaved participant from the program; without any reimbursement.

Failure to disclose relevant information or to complete the required paperwork at the appropriate time can lead to termination from the application process and / or program and forfeit of all payments made.

  • CAMP EUROPE may refuse to accept an application, or may reject an application at any stage of the process given a valid reason and at its own discretion.

 

Cancellations & reimbursements

  • If the APPLICANT fails to participate in the program for any reason except medical incapacity (as confirmed by a medical certificate and at CAMP EUROPE’s accreditation), the deposit payment and medical insurance surcharges will be forfeited. Penalties are necessary because of the expense incurred in interviewing, matching applicants with open spots at different camps and general administrative costs involved with the program´s management and organization.

  • CAMP EUROPE must be informed immediately of all cancellations.

Applicants should be aware that all refund claims should be submitted in writing by July 3rd. No further claims will be accepted after this time.

Behaviour:

  • Agrees to be present in good time for all flights or other transportation, training sessions and placement dates.

  • Agrees that hostile or aggressive behavior by the applicant will result in immediate cancellation from the program and the forfeiting of all payments.

 

Commitments:

  • Agrees to abide by all Legal and Internal regulations as well as instructions of the host country government, including leaving the Host country no later than six months after entry to the host country.

  • Agrees to abide by all lawful rules and reasonable regulations of CAMP EUROPE contained herein and of the HOST camp in which the applicant is placed.

  • Agrees to participate for the elected period at the camps assigned.

  • Agrees to carry out the outlined duties and other responsibilities within the camp to the best of his/her ability, with due respect and to take full responsibility of his/her own actions at all times in accordance with the rules and guidelines set out by CAMP EUROPE, Host camp staff and any other such as program brochures, handbooks, website and stipulations on these terms & conditions.

 

Limitations:

  • Understands and acknowledges that he/she is not an employee or agent of CAMP EUROPE or any affiliate thereof agrees not to make any representations to any third party or employee of the participating camps to that effect. You understand that you are a cultural exchange visitor and a guest of the Host camp to which you are assigned.

Transportation:

  • Understand that CAMP EUROPE, DOES NOT provide any sort of flight, and the participant is fully responsible for any transportation costs.

Liabilities:

  • Applicant releases CAMP EUROPE from any claims whatsoever arising from any injury loss, damage, accident, delay or expense, resulting from events beyond control, including but without limitation: Acts of God, acts of war, strikes, politically motivated violence, terrorism, sickness, quarantine, government restrictions, or regulations.

  • Camp Europe (CAMP EUROPE) gets excluded from what could happen at the actual camp and camp program provided by Camp Europe (CAMP EUROPE), such as> Delays, Accidents, Robbery and even death of THE

 

PARTICIPANT

Medical-

  • Agrees to discuss during interview and state clearly on the application form any medical problems that you have or have had in the past which may affect your chances of participating on the program. Failure to disclose relevant medical information at the earliest opportunity is grounds for dismissal from the program. Any deposit payments already made will be forfeited, and our medical insurance policy rendered invalid.

  • Please note that not declared pre-existing medical conditions may be a factor of dismissal.

  • Participants are required to buy a Medical Expenses Coverage plan that covers the full length of their placement. This will be covered by Participant´s own additional expenses.

  • Even after going through an interview and being accepted as a participant for the program and during the program length it remains your responsibility to inform CAMP EUROPE office in writing of any material changes to your medical circumstances.
    Camp Europe (CAMP EUROPE) reserves the right to vary, delay or cancel your participation should your medical circumstances deteriorate between the time of your application and the date that you are due to depart for Europe.

  • Participant understand that CAMP EUROPE or its affiliates or agents may, without liability, or expense to themselves take whatever action they deem appropriate with regard to participants health and safety and may place in a hospital for medical services and treatment or, if no hospital is readily available, may place you in the hands of a local medical doctor for treatment.
