Camp Counselor
1 week of training session
prior to a summer placement.
Our intensive International Camp Counselor (ICC) training session is designed to enhance your personal skills, tailored to prepare you for your specific role within various camp program areas. The International Camp Counselor Training covers a wide range of topics, from entertaining children and youth to effectively handling homesickness. It delves into legal aspects, presentation skills for addressing large groups, and counseling techniques for instructing various activities such as survival and team building. Our coaching team has built over the years a comprehensive training package. All you need to bring is your fantastic, motivated vibe to kickstart the summer with a 6-day training session, significantly expanding your personal skillset. Here's what you can look forward to: - An exciting week filled with an enthusiastic community gathering in a forest setting, ready for outdoor adventures. - An opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and engage in experiential learning through educational and recreational activities, games, and group dynamics. - A vibrant camp life at our Walsrode campsite, where you'll forge friendships with other international participants for an unforgettable summer.

Internship - 3 Months
1 weekend training
+ 2 week shadow program prior to placement with International School groups
Our intensive International Internship Training program is tailored to prepare you for a specific role within various international school group activities, enhancing your personal skills along the way. The training covers diverse topics, from engaging with children and youth to managing homesickness effectively. It includes legal aspects, presentation skills for large groups, and techniques for instructing activities like survival and team building. Outdoor Education Diploma
2 months of training & set up
prior to a 20-week rotating roles placement.
Our comprehensive 6-month Outdoor Education Diploma is designed to equip you with the skills needed for various roles within outdoor education and camp settings. The diploma includes diverse certifications and training modules: -Basic International Camp Counselor Course -High Ropes Instructor Training -Language Coach TOEFL Testing Centre Certificate -First Aid Course -German Food Health Certificate -Survival & Hike Instructor for Teams -Kayak and Canoe Instructor -Slackline Instructor -Archery Instructor -Teambuilding Instructor -Food & Wellbeing (GUT DRAUF)/Cooking for Big Groups -Accounting, Camp Organization, Social Media -Health & Hygiene -No Power to Drugs Prevention Training (limited availability - German) Our training days blend theoretical and practical input, including camp location setup and preparation. You’ll also have the chance to earn the * High Ropes Course Safety Instructor Assistant certificate after completing a 5-day basic/rescue module and a 4-week trial period. 120 hr. - TEFL course online prior to summer

Participants can choose between a 10-hour TEFL or a 120-hour TEFL Certificate, depending on their needs and goals. The program includes a 2-day Language Coach training on-site during the ICC training week, ensuring you are well-equipped for your role. Here's what you can look forward to: An immersive and focused training experience that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, specifically designed for language coaching. Opportunities to connect with fellow trainees and experienced coaches, fostering a supportive community and enriching your learning experience. Hands-on practice in teaching methods, classroom management, and effective communication skills, preparing you for diverse educational environments. 1st aid & CPR
1 day intense training and testing
Our camp program requires all participants to hold a valid First Aid Certificate, ensuring a safe and prepared environment for everyone. You have the flexibility to obtain this certificate in advance in your home country or during our camp counselor training week. The First Aid course offered on-site is available at a cost of 55 euros. Here's what you can look forward to: A comprehensive First Aid training that covers essential skills and knowledge to handle emergencies effectively. The convenience of completing the course either before arriving or during the training week, ensuring you meet the camp's requirements. An opportunity to learn in a practical, hands-on environment with guidance from experienced instructors. High ropes & Climbing
2 days of training during training week.

This specific training is essential for anyone wishing to participate in the high ropes and climbing program area, ensuring you are well-prepared to handle the challenges and responsibilities involved. Camp Training in 1 word:
I had the best time at Camp working there as a Language Coach and Camp Counselor.
I intended on staying a month but ended up staying for two. The environment, the atmosphere the vibes and the people and the campers were just amazing. It was a great feeling to be surrounded by nothing but nature and being disconnected from our ordinary busy day to day lives. I loved being able to learn and create and run different activities and being able to work with such amazing people from all over a world. The week of training was so much fun and I made some really lovely connections and friendships and would love to come back again.
